A Childs Angel

Once upon a time there was a child ready to be born. One day the little child asked God:
"They tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow but how am I going to live there being so small and helpless?"
God answered him "Among the many angels, I chose one for you. She will be waiting for you and will take care of you."
"But tell me," asked the child, "here in Heaven, I don't do anything else but sing and smile, that's enough for me to be happy."
"Your angel will sing for you and will also smile for you every day. And you will feel your angel's love and be happy." God reassured him.
"And how am I going to be able to understand when people talk to me, if I don't know the language that men talk?"
"Your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweet words you will ever hear, and with much patience and care, your angel will teach you how to speak."
"And what am I going to do when I want to talk to you, Lord?"
"Your angel will place your hands together and will teach you how to pray."
"I've heard that on earth there are bad men. Who will protect me?"
"Your angel will defend you even if it means risking its life."
"But I will always be sad because I will not see you anymore."
"Your angel will always talk to you about me and will teach you the way for you to come back to me, even though I will always be next to you."
At that moment there was much peace in Heaven, but voices from earth could already be heard, and the child in a hurry asked softly
"Oh God, if I am about to leave now, please tell me my angel's name."
"You will call your angel, Mother"

Dad

God took the strength of a mountain,
The majesty of a tree,
The warmth of a summer sun,
The calm of a quiet sea,
The generous soul of nature,
The comforting arm of night,
The wisdom of the ages,
The power of an eagle's flight,
The joy of a spring morning,
The faith of a mustard seed,
The patience of eternity,
The depth of a family need,
Then God combined these qualities,
When there was nothing more to add,
He knew His masterpiece was complete,
And so, He called it ... Dad

Monday's Child

Mondays child is fair of face
Tuesdays child is full of Grace
Wednesdays child is full of woe
Thursdays child has far to go
Fridays child is loving and giving
Saturdays child works hard for its living
But the child that is born on the Sabbath Day
Is bonny and blithe and good and gay

Welcome Home Baby Dinner

Made with love for you.
You'll be so busy with _____________.
You won't know what to do.
Enjoy this new parent treat--
"green bean bundles of joy",
a meal, and something sweet --
As you peek in on your baby boy.
Some "bringing home baby carrots",
Are as tasty as them come.
When you're snugglin with your son.
"Special delivery chicken,
And a "2 a.m. feeding candy bar"
Reminders that he is special,
And how blessed you are.

Hello, Sweet Little Miracle

Hello, sweet little miracle,
this poem is just for you,
We're so glad you are going home
After all that you've been through.
We have all waited and waited,
Over this long long year,
With all of our prayers and hopes
And many a tear.
So now you are ready,
To go home in loving arms
And we are getting to learn
all about you and your sweet charms.
You are such a beautiful baby,
We thank God every day,
We thank Him for His blessings,
in every single way.
And you're such an easy baby,
We love to hold you a while,
We love your little giggles,
and we love your little smile.
Not one second of your life,
will we ever want to miss,
but for now we are very thankful,
That we have you to kiss!
